Summary of 9th Annual Conference of CDEAN!!

The 9th Annual Conference of CDEAN: A Resounding Success in Chitwan
The 9th Annual Conference of the Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics Association of Nepal (CDEAN) was successfully held in Chitwan on March 28th and 29th, 2025. The two-day event brought together 210 enthusiastic participants for both hands-on workshops and the main conference sessions, fostering a vibrant academic environment rich in knowledge sharing.
The conference, organized by CDEAN, provided a crucial platform for professionals to engage in insightful discussions, exchange innovative ideas, and enhance their skills through practical workshops. The active participation and keen interest demonstrated by all attendees were pivotal to the event’s success.
CDEAN extends sincere gratitude to the esteemed expert speakers who generously shared their knowledge and expertise. These included international speakers Dr. Rhythm and Dr. Vivek K. Bains, and national speakers Dr. Mannu Vikram, Dr. Reema Joshi, Dr. Nisha Acharya, and Dr. Netra Bhusal. Pre-conference lecture and hands-on sessions were conducted by Dr. Pujan Kranti Kayastha, Dr. Gyanendra Jha, and Dr. Ranjita Shrestha Gorkhali.
The conference witnessed huge participation from postgraduate residents from various dental colleges across Nepal. Furthermore, there were 10 oral presentations and 6 poster presentations, showcasing the research and academic endeavors within the field.
The invaluable contributions of all participants, whose active engagement and eagerness to learn were truly inspiring, were acknowledged. Their presence was central to the dynamic and collaborative atmosphere of the event.
Special appreciation was extended to the dedicated organizing committee, which was instrumental in the smooth and successful execution of the program. The committee was headed by Organizing Chairperson Dr. Reema Joshi, with Organizing Secretary Dr. Lipika Shrestha, and Scientific Chairperson Dr. Deepti Shrestha. The tireless efforts, meticulous planning, and unwavering commitment of all organizing committee members from Chitwan, representing CDEAN, were deeply valued.
CDEAN sincerely apologizes to participants unable to secure a place in the hands-on workshops due to limited seating and assures that future programs will aim for increased capacity.

The successful 9th Annual Conference, accredited with 12 CPD points by the Nepal Medical Council, reinforces CDEAN’s commitment to continuous learning and professional development in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics in Nepal. The association looks forward to hosting more enriching and impactful events.
